Solid Sounds
Solid sounds are one of the main categories of environmental sounds. They are produced either by the interaction between several objects (e.g. impact, friction, rolling) or by the deformation of an object (e.g. rustling, crushing, tearing). We developed a synthesis tool for the generation of interacting solid sounds from an intuitive description of the physical object and the actions associated with this object.
