Gabor Frames
The Gabor transform is a sampled version of the Short Time Fourier Transform. For suitable choices of the analysis window and of the time-frequency lattice, the corresponding Gabor atoms form a so-called « Gabor frame ». Gabor frames provide efficient ways for constructing signals’ transformations that can be designed directly in the transformed domain. Gabor multipliers allows in defining a time-frequency transfer function (or mask) that is of interest for audio signal processing.
