New paradigm for musical drums
In the first part of the movie, the professional drummer Farid Medjane plays on drum pads connected to our impact sounds synthesizer based on sound invariants.
The synthesizer allows to re-think the traditional instrument. Here for example, the drumsticks force acts on the virtual object material. For example, a wooden object slowly becomes a metallic one, depending on the playing force.
In the second part of the movie (2’10”) Farid is experimenting our new drumsticks that are connected wireless to the computer. This performance was part of CMMR 2012 “Music and Emotions”, London.
